Vincent Van Peteghem
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance at Federal Government of BelgiumVincent Van Peteghem is currently Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of the federal Government of Belgium.
Mr Van Peteghem was appointed Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance in October 2020. Prior to that, he was Member of the Flemish Parliament (2019-2020) and Member of the Chamber of Representatives (2016-2019). Mr Van Peteghem has also held the position of Mayor (since 2018) and the Municipal Councilor (2013-2018) of the Municipality of De Pinte.
He is a graduate of Ghent University, with a Masters in Applied Economics (2002), a Masters in the Management of Public Organizations (2003), and a PhD in Applied Economics, and was Professor of operations management at EDHEC Business School.
