Together with members of the Singapore Chamber of Commerce, your BLCC takes its first steps again towards face to face events, albeit following all the regulations in place of course!
Join us on 6 May in the evening for a guided tour of a photo exhibit put together by the Sino Group. The exhibition has been curated by photographer and photographic historian Mr Edward Stokes, who specialises in presenting Asian photographs taken in the mid-twentieth century with texts that reflect the life & times of photographers Lee Fook Chee in HK and Marjorie Doggett in SG. More information about the exhibit here (click).
Mr Stokes is a photographer himself, a writer and, in recent years, a publisher. He grew up in Hong Kong and returned in 1993 to work on projects about the natural landscape. He is the Founding Director of The Photographic Heritage Foundation, a not-for-profit publisher. He is well-known in Hong Kong as a photographer, author and advocate for the natural landscape and environment.
After this interesting tour, please all join us for a Happy Hour session in the new Grappa's Cellar in Causeway Bay from 7.30pm. Please note that all relevant health measures in place for restaurants need to be followed. There is no need to register for the Happy Hour as it's not part of our event, but we will be there and we hope all of you too! Especially for our BLCC & Singaporean community, Happy Hour is extended till 9pm and complimentary snacks will be served.
Here is our planning for the evening:
6-7pm: Guided tour of the Photo Exhibit with Ed Stokes;
7-7.30pm: Post-tour exhibit walk around;
7.30pm - closing: Free to attend Happy Hour at Grappa's Cellar CWB located on the lower floor of Lee Garden 2 in CWB.
Only 15 spots available due to group limit set by the venue, register quickly!
Priority is given to BLCC members.
Please be polite & honor your registration by showing up.
