Our third high-caliber speaker event is coming up!

The collective of Asian BLCCs is going strong and we're very excited to offer you this next talk together with all of them.

Please join members from Japan to Singapore to Delhi on 8 June from 6pm – 7:15pm, when we have the pleasure of listening to a talk by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Vincent Van Peteghem. The talk will be introduced by our very own Consul-General to Hong Kong & Macau, Mr Peter Robberecht.

Minister Van Peteghem is in charge of the Coordination of the Fight against Fraud. He helps to make the government's ambitious recovery plan a reality. An important task is to work out a comprehensive reform of the federal tax system in order to modernise and simplify it and make it fairer. It is his ambition to help build a more prosperous, sustainable, safe and forward-looking society.

With the above in mind, Minister Vincent van Peteghem is looking forward to talking to you about:

  • The approach Belgium has taken to handle the COVID-19 situation, mainly the vaccination program & the recovery plan;
  • New financial instruments implemented by the EU, including green finance;
  • The relationship between Belgium & Asia and the increase of protectionism.

Look forward to seeing you all there! Please register for a free ticket below. In case you have registered for a ticket, but can't make it in the end, please let us know so we can cancel your ticket.

Do you have any questions before the talk? Please send them over to baukje.huisman@blcchk.org and we'll make sure they are addressed by the Minister either during the talk or afterwards.
