BLCC Meet the Members is a new regularly occurring event organized at the request of our members.
With our membership being so diverse and more numerous than often realized, many of our members want to know who else is a BLCC member and meet & discuss outside of the regular networking events in bars or restaurants.
As I highly value the input of our members I happily support this initiative and so does our BLCC member Masson de Morfontaine. So on 29 November in the morning we invite all members who would like to get to know each other a bit better for a fun round table introduction & discussion, followed by a brief seminar, all while enjoying a tasty breakfast.
In the seminar Masson's Francois Barbotin (International Corporate Services Advisor) & Anthony Hung (Tax Director) will address legal & tax mechanisms to protect your business in Hong Kong by sharing relevant experiences & tips with the participants.
I am very thankful to Masson de Morfontaine for not only being part of this very first 'BLCC Meet the Members' but also for putting their meeting room to our disposal including breakfast!

He has developed practical skills in international taxation (including helping multinationals on their profit tax exemption claims and tax optimization), legal drafting (e.g. shareholders’ agreement, services, supply, distribution, SPA, etc.) and onshore/offshore company administration.
Francois was based in Phnom Penh (Cambodia) for more than 2 years, where he worked in a Law Firm to gain a more practical understanding of domestic and cross-border practices. He completed a double bachelor’s degree in law and economics from the Sorbonne University in Paris, before graduating from a Master in International Business Law.
He moved to Hong Kong in 2016, where he is now working for a family office, advising on legal matters, including Private Equity and investment deals. Alongside his work, Francois is taking evening classes in Hong Kong University to have a dual qualification in both civil and common law.
Francois is fluent in French, Mandarin Chinese (native speaker), and English.
Anthony Hung

Anthony has extensive experience in advising on cross-border transactions associated with international tax planning, M&A, expansion and structuring, corporate reorganization and divesture, efficient financing planning, as well as structuring inter-company transactions. Anthony’s clients operate in different industries: resources, real estate, retail and consumer products, manufacturing, services, etc.
Anthony has also accumulated extensive experience in advising Chinese inbound and outbound investors on efficient holding company structure, financing and operational structure. He led many tax due diligence and tax structuring / planning projects for his clients.
He is a member of Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountant (HKICPA).
